“My experience attending the NBTF for the very first time was beyond anything I could have anticipated and imagined. The networking, attendees, and the awesome number of quality plays and musicals was impressive and extraordinary. I cannot wait to return in 2019.”
“It’s so difficult to get noticed in this industry, which made my experience at NBTF so exhilarating. Producers, directors, playwrights, want to shake hands and talk about their love of theatre; people really want to connect. Following my performance at NBTF, my information was requested by a Broadway producer and I was contacted by and am working with a new manager in NYC; that’s getting noticed!”

What 2017 NBTF Attendees are Saying…
As a patron of the NBTF for the past 8 years, I just want to let you know how much I enjoyed the three performances I attended this year. “Anne & Emmett” should be required of all high school students. Maid’s Door needs to be seen by caregivers dealing with the difficulties of Alzheimer’s. “Sammy-Celebrating the Legacy” made me feel I had been transported to Vegas! What a wonderful, entertaining evening!
I am white male, 71 years “young.” I love the theatre and have so enjoyed the NBTF through the years. It is exciting to see diverse audiences coming together in Winston-Salem. Our city and community owe NBTF leaders and volunteers a huge “Thanks!” for all the work involved in bringing this event to our city. Can’t wait until 2019!
I’ll admit, I didn’t want to go to a play when my mother bought us tickets. I like plays, but wasn’t excited about going. The play was “AWESOME!” I even cried (but I didn’t want my mom to know). I really want to go to more theatre now that I know what to expect.
