African Dance Movement
By Wayne Mufasa Jones
African Dance Movement is a high-energy, rhythm-driven class that explores traditional and contemporary African dance styles rooted in cultural storytelling, community, and expression. Dancers will learn powerful movements that emphasize grounded footwork, full-body coordination, musicality, and connection to live or recorded African rhythms. This class builds strength, stamina, flexibility, and confidence while encouraging self-expression and cultural appreciation. Participants will explore the meaning behind movements, rhythms, and traditions, creating an immersive and empowering dance experience.
Open to all levels, African Dance Movement is perfect for dancers looking to expand their versatility, reconnect with movement, and experience the joy and power of African dance in a supportive, high-energy environment. Seniors will have the option to sit and move.
