Let’s Talk About Casting

By Gayle Samuels

Let’s Talk About Casting is a wonderfully informative workshop about the casting process from an industry professional who has worked on both sides of the table. Learn some insider tips about the do’s and don’ts of auditioning, helpful hints for on-camera techniques, cold readings, headshots, resumes, and much more.

The workshop is led by Gayle Samuels, an award-winning actress and Broadway veteran who has also served as an Associate Casting Director, most notably on Broadway’s Smokey Joe’s Cafe and HBO’s Notes From The Field by Anna Deveare Smith. This workshop will discuss tools of the trade—the photo session, the resume, the reel, the website, and navigating the industry —topped off with a Q&A session at the end.

This workshop is geared toward actors who want to gain a better understanding of how the industry works and what it takes to be a working professional.

Tuesday, July 28, 11:15am – 1:15pm
