Radical Movement for the Blk Artivist II

By Tariq Karriem

Radical Movement for the Blk Artivist is a somatic and paratheatrical intervention designed for Black creatives and organizers operating at the intersection of art and social change. In a society where the Black body has historically been a site of surveillance and systemic labor, this program reclaims movement as a vehicle for liberation, joy, and “radical love.”

This practice moves beyond performance-based dance, centering instead on the “artivist’s” internal landscape and their role as a vessel for community storytelling and ancestral connection.
