The Birthright SESSION is a solo music-theatre work that explores Black womanhood, artistic self-authorship, and spiritual inheritance through jazz performance and spoken narrative. Set within the lived reality of a Black woman artist relocating to New York City, the piece centers the moment when an artist stops waiting for permission and begins curating her own creative life.
